Read Across America Week

In honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday (today!), Bella's school celebrated Read Across America.  The week was filled with lots of extra activity.  On Monday, she arrived home from school with a red and white Cat in the Hat on her head.  The boys were jealous, so we made hats for them too.  They all looked super cute in their hats, but didn't want their pictures taken.  As they get older, I'm trying to respect their wishes when it comes to things like pictures - especially when the photo isn't that big of a deal.  So just imagine in your minds my three children in red and white paper hats.

On Tuesday, Bella wore all green in honor of the book, "Green Eggs and Ham".

Then Wednesday arrived and Bella was all wacky.  Wacky Wednesday!

She had a braid on one side, pig tail on the other, a bun in the back, and then flowers and ribbons tucked in all over!

That evening, Bella wanted her hair cut.  Not just a trim like we usually do, but a cut.  "I want my hair to look like yours!"  Why not.

Here she is before school that morning.  So mature looking.  So grown up!

You can't tell from the photo, but that day was crazy sock day.

On Friday, the kids dressed up as their favorite book character.  Bella chose Pinkalicious this year.

I was so happy to find everything we needed in her dress-up bin.

Happy birthday, Dr. Seuss!
