I looked out the kitchen window and saw a super relaxed kitty.

This right here is Curtis's favorite outfit to wear. As soon as he comes home from school, he changes into it. Every single day.

These are pics that I found on Andy's phone, so I have no idea how this little water fight got started.

Mother's Day! These three are my heart. I LOVE being their mom and I am SO thankful that God gave them to me. Mother's Day was cold and rainy, so the five of us went to the movies. We saw Avengers Endgame and then went out for pizza. Quality family time always makes me happy.

Bella's garden is starting to grow. She planted lettuce. . .

and carrots. Not pictured are her zucchini and cucumber plants. All that's left is some tomato plants, which we decided not to do from seed.

Hope history is a part of the third grade social studies curriculum. Every spring, that unit concludes with a walking tour through different areas of Hope. One of the stops on the tour is the Moravian church where "Martin Hauser" (founder of our town) is there to greet the kids and tell them about the history of our town and church. Both Bella and Graydon have been on this trip. Curtis's class went this year and this was the first time that I was able to go on it.

Our church's elementary youth group had an end-of-the-year party on Friday night. Lots of kids and lots of fun.

If you get a bounce house, they will come!

The kids had their walk-a-thon at school that day. I didn't even think to put sunscreen on them. Now that we're spending more time outdoors, I need to start remembering to do that again.

This little guy thinks he is a Kilps pet. We think we have been inadvertently feeding him for well over a year - possibly longer. We used to keep our cat food outside and refill his little bowl every day. Early on, I think this raccoon only came around when we were asleep, so we never knew. Eventually we caught on and moved our cat food to the garage. We also bought a plastic rubbermaid bin with lid to store the extra food in. Numerous times, if we left the garage door open in the evening, we'd come out to the garage to find the lid off, the bin toppled over, and cat food all over the garage floor. Those little hands are very capable of getting lids off of bins! We started making it a point to have the garage door shut by 5pm. Then he just started coming earlier. I went out to the garage as early as 3pm to find him helping himself to Salty's bowl of food. Of course, he'd run off as soon as I came out. Now we just keep our garage door closed all the time. One day when I was standing at the sink, I looked out and saw him just sitting there, staring at me. He has such a cute face and I think he means well. He's just trying to eat. But we just don't want another mouth to feed, nor do we want him giving his buddies any ideas. We borrowed a live trap and have been trying to catch him for the past few days - no luck. He's been smart enough to get our bait without getting stuck inside. Andy did get excited one evening, thinking that we had caught him - only to find that it was a stray gray cat! For now, we still have a pet raccoon.

The boys had a babysitter one night. Curtis labeled the pantry so she would know where the snacks were. Get it. . . "pan tree"! I love the way his mind works!

Bella has been learning all about bacteria in science class. She was grossed out one day when she learned about all of the bacteria that is found on toothbrushes. That very night, I discovered that she not only got out a new toothbrush, but she covered it with her travel case! Science class is turning her into a germophobe!
