But here were a few new friends who we were bringing home with us.
We didn't have to stay sad for too long though, because we still had a full day at Animal Kingdom.
Our first ride there: Expedition Everest. Or as Graydon calls it, "The Yeti Ride".
This was Graydon's favorite ride.
We used a fast pass the first time; but since the line wasn't too bad; we rode it again! This was the only attraction in all of Disney World that we did twice. Here are the kids resting while we waited in line.
Graydon wanted to ride it again; but we decided that it was time to see some other things in the park. Next we went to a bird show and then made our way over to Africa.

We had a lunch reservation for Tusker House that day and got to meet some more characters!

This day was a little overcast and with all of the shade at this park, the temperature was pretty much perfect!

On our way to see 'It's Tough to be a Bug" and we stopped again for a photo by the Tree of Life. So pretty.

While we were eating the waffle, Curtis looks up and yells, "Look, a Mickey lantern!" I think he was starting to see the world through Mickey glasses - a casualty of being at Disney World all week!
We went on the safari ride that afternoon. That was wonderful - so relaxing. And it was awesome to see so many animals while we rode in the jeep.

When that was finished, we went exploring in Dino-World. There were a couple of rides and a Dinosaur dig play area. We stayed there for as long as we could and then made it back to Africa for 'The Festival of the Lion King.' This was another awesome production. We saw so many great shows on this trip!

Then we went back to Dino-World and rode the ride: Dinosaur. Those Dinosaurs sure did look real!
When the ride was finished, we only had about fifteen more minutes until the park closed. And we still had four quick services meals to use or we would lose them. So we went to the nearest quick service restaurant: Restaurant-osaurus and got some dinner. By the time we were finished, the park was almost empty. There's not much night life at Animal Kingdom. We made our way to the exit and stopped for one more photo by the tree and in Disney World.

We couldn't have asked for a better week. The weather was perfect. It did get a little hot at times, but it never rained and our ponchos remain in their packaging to this day. We just look back on everything and, other than the fireworks, everything went so smoothly! And with that fireworks mishap, I have a husband who wants to make my Disney dreams come true and see those fireworks over the castle. That gets us another trip to Disney! We're thinking maybe in another five years. I loved going on this vacation and sharing these experiences together. It just makes me look forward to new experiences and new memories to make, Disney and otherwise. We are so very blessed. :)
