Graydon's passion for music has continued to grow this past year. The saxophone is his main instrument, thought he's also getting pretty good at the trombone and has even learned a little bit of piano. He bought himself a tenor sax earlier in the year and now has his sights on a bari. The school has one, which he uses during when he plays in the school pep band, but he wants one of his own. They're a bit pricey, so he's got a big of saving to do.
His other big passion is bowling. That has really grown and developed this past year. He recently bowled an amazing game and has a new high score of 256. He participates in a Saturday morning bowling league and also looks forward to bowling with dad on Wednesday nights.
He continues to do well in school, though his social studies class has definitely challenged him this year. He is definitely learning that, now that his classes are getting harder, he'll need to do some intentional studying if he wants to enjoy the good grades that used to come so easily before.
He had his first girlfriend and first breakup this past year. Those are definitely bittersweet milestones. Something he did not enjoy this year was Curtis officially surpassing him in height. He's constantly measuring his height up against our wooden wall ruler and is eagerly awaiting his next growth spurt.
One exciting milestone was getting his braces off. That smile looks fantastic! I hope this next year of life gives him lots of reasons to show off that smile. Happy Birthday, Graydon Andrew! You are SO loved!!!
