I am going to dump all my September photos into this post. Here is another photo of a happy outdoors Mabel.
Andy and I went to a wedding that had an ice cream truck. Ice cream is one of his most favorite things. He was a happy guy that night.
Here is Bella getting her senior pictures taken. They turned out gorgeous! I might have to do a separate post one of these days of some of my favorites. But it's going to be so hard to pick. We have hundreds to choose from!
Bella, Curtis, and I drove up to Wisconsin for our annual Brocktoberfest weekend. Bella was the winner in the game of Skittle Scatter!
I'm not sure who brought the flower crowns, but they were a nice touch - even on Curtis.
While Bella was victorious in the Skittle Scatter game, it was time for her to get humbled in the Pin the Mug game. She got so far off that she had to be redirected back to the start; and even then she still didn't manage to even get the mug of the poster. There is a video floating around with it and it's the funniest thing to watch!
I didn't do too bad. I didn't seem to get a photo of Curtis. But his was almost equally as bad as Bella. He not only missed the poster entirely, but ended up attaching his mug to the garage refrigerator about six feet or so away from the poster!
Group shot! My cousin does a great job making sure we get these pictures each year. The more we do this, the more fun it is to compare photos from year to year.

The next day, my two nephews had their christening. I had to think about it. . . I can't remember the last Catholic baptism I've been to. It was interesting to compare what was similar and what was different to how the Moravian church does them. I'm wondering if the last Catholic baptism I was at was my own?!
Both boys did amazing well with all the water that was poured on their heads!

All NINE original Benettis were there. This doesn't happen often, so we must document whenever it does!
Like Graydon, Curtis is also playing tennis for the first time this season. Junior high tennis is brand new to our school this year and these kids are playing against schools who have had established programs for years. Needless to say, they faced some very difficult opponents. On this particular evening, Curtis and his friend Ben played doubles together and they won their first match! It was an exciting one that went into a tie break.

The boys' school marching band performed in the Heritage Days parade again this year. They played some of their pep band songs, which are some of my favorite to listen to.
While walking into the house, Curtis flipped his water bottle. He intended for it to land on the deck railing, but it fell over and ended up landing on the deck just like this.
Throughout the past several months, Bella participated in a Youth Leadership program for seniors in Bartholomew County. Of the 100+ students who particpated, most were from the two Columbus high schools, but Bella and her friend, Katie, represented Hauser well!
Although we didn't get Taylor Swift concert tickets, Bella and I will be attending the movie on October 13th. The concert would have been awesome, but I'm just happy that she wants to hang out with me. I decided to pick an era to dress in and I'm going to do 'Red (Taylor's Version)', so I bought this hat (it looked a little closer to the color Red in the Amazon description, but oh well). We had Hat Day at school this week, so I decided to get some more use of it. I actually really like this style of hat and it's perfect for fall.
And, last but not least, Andy and I celebrated our 21st anniversary on September 28th. That evening was Tennis sectionals, so we went out the following night to a nice restaurant in downtown Columbus followed by a jazz concert (think speakeasy-style event). Dinner and a show - a proper date night!
