We left home around 2:30am on January 1st. The drive down went really smoothly, which I attribute to it being New Year's Day and less traffic on the road. We checked in to our hotel near Port Canaveral, FL around 5:30pm. That's when we met up with the two other families we were traveling with. We ordered some pizza and chatted in the outdoor pool area. No photos from that, but here is one of a few kids playing basketball.
Graydon and Sam did not waste much time before checking out some food options.

There's always a big party on the ship's main deck right before setting sail. We observed it all from one deck above.
Many of us made sure to get some cheesecake for dessert that first night since they said that was the only night it would be on the menu. And leave it to Graydon to make silly faces for the camera. More of those to come.

Bella ordered this dress for a sorority formal and it ended up not arriving in time. Formal night on the cruise gave her a good occasion to wear it. She and Sam look so cute.
We ported the next day in the Bahamas! Beach days are my favorite part of the cruise.
On previous cruises, we'd have to take a taxi or shuttle to the beach, but with this location we just walked off the ship and we were there.
Curtis ordered frog legs for his appetizer that night. The cruise is a great time to try new things. There is just so much food and no possible way to go hungry.

We went to a marriage show that evening. Three couples volunteered to go on stage and answer questions about each other. I would never, ever do this. Some of the questions were, "Who would your husband say is the most annoying person on your side of the family?" or "Which of your friends would your husband say he is most attracted to?" No thank you to that! But it was entertaining to watch the couples who were brave/foolish enough to participate!
It was formal night for dinner that evening. Andy and Curtis opted for more of a casual look and accidentally coordinated with each other.

I didn't do the greatest about taking photos of our whole group, but here we all are together. Three families.

The other couple we typically travel with had to stay back because they had a new granddaughter due any day.
We made sure they didn't miss out on the fun.

The next morning we time to head home. A 3-day cruise goes by pretty quickly! Here is my friend's son while we waited for debarkation. Kids can get comfortable anywhere!
The consensus from everyone was that they enjoyed the cruise. So, maybe there will be more in our future! Any time we can all be together, I'm a happy camper.
