National School Counseling Week was February 3rd-7th. I used this week as an opportunity to educate our school community on all my position entails. What I didn't expect was all these gifts and cards from staff and students in addition to several encouraging messages on social media. I truly feel like I have the best job in the world and this is just the cherry on top.

Our school had a dance on February 7th for 5th and 6th graders. Graydon participated in a limbo contest and won!

More bored kids playing with my phone.

The soap beard was even more impressive just a second before I took this photo, but I couldn't quite catch it in time.

I love how Bella chooses to use her free time. She's been working on a paint-by-number. He materials take up half our dining room table, but I'm always pleased to see our kids doing things that don't involve technology or screens. Of course, earlier today she was popping popcorn with her hair straightener!

Some moments I didn't get pictures of are:
- My mom taking the boys out to dinner on a night that Andy and I were at a fundraiser and Bella was at a basketball game.
- My mom staying an extra day to have some one-on-one time with Bella when the rest of us all had other arrangements. They drove up to Greenwood and ate at the Cheesecake Factory.
- Chocolate-covered strawberries on Valentine's Day
- My valentine gifts weren't fancy, but each to the kids were able to pick out a few treats for themselves at the store.
- Andy and I went out to Qdoba on Valentine's Day. We didn't want to go anywhere where we'd have to wait an hour for a table. It turns out that they were giving away a free entree for each couple who came. All we had to do was give each other a kiss at the register. That was our most profitable kiss to date!
These days are busy, but they are about to let up just a little. Both Bella and Graydon's basketball seasons will be done in about two weeks. And I graduate in a little over two months! We can do this!
