December Days

Just some randoms from our month so far.

I’ve been taking some one-on-one time with each kid to do some Christmas shopping. This day was Curtis’s turn. 

The boys had their school band concert earlier this week. 

Bella’s letter jacket arrived! We ordered it back in October and it was supposed to be ready by the end of November (just in time for her birthday), but there was a delay and she finally got it two weeks later.

Curtis graduated from DARE!

Oscar came upstairs to hang with the family for a little bit.

These are the days of basketball. Each of our kids is playing on a team, so our evenings and weekends are FULL!

Bella’s JV team won a tournament this weekend! 

This weekend was Graydon’s turn for some Christmas shopping. 

This family is ready for Christmas!

Homecoming Court!

Bella was chosen to represent the sophomore class on Homecoming court! Only seniors get voted on for king and queen, but being chosen by your peers to be on court is a big honor. 

We went dress shopping together the weekend prior and it was so fun. She picked out such a cute dress.

Her good buddy, Kendrick, was also on court.

And the Hauser Jets beat the Henryville Hornets! Great Homecoming game! 

Bella's 16th Birthday!

Here is our birthday girl at 6:52pm on November 30th - officially SIXTEEN! We were in the car on the way to dinner.

She chose Taku for her birthday meal. 

Our server brought her a special birthday treat - but we spared her the birthday song.

O Christmas Tree!

The evening we brought our tree home, Andy and Curtis put up the lights.

I added the garland and we left it at that for the night.

The following night, we added the ornaments.

Since our tree was a little smaller this year, we didn't add all our ornaments. Just picked our favorites.

I really enjoy decorating the tree together. I'm glad this is an activity the kids are still willing to do together.

Mabel got really into the whole experience as well.
