Verona Visit

Instead of driving back to Indiana when we left Missouri, we drove north to Wisconsin for a Kilps visit. We actually planned to make this visit before Missouri, but when we learned that Andy’s aunt’s health was failing, we realized that we needed to be flexible with the dates of that visit. When we received word that she had passed away, we just flipped our visit from before Missouri to after. The first couple of days were spent visiting with extended family as well as the funeral service for Aunt Pat. Although our visit began with a sad circumstance, we had a really special time together.

This game of Code Names seems to be a popular one that we play at each visit.

We were able to be there for Father’s Day, which is very rare. The day was spent at a park/beach and it was a perfect day.

The kids each took turns with Uncle Tom’s board.

The kids parked themselves in the splash pad underneath the big bucket of water that fell every few minutes. Each time it ended, Bella challenged everyone to do it again. Papa was trying to get a video of them getting splashed, only he didn’t realize that he too was in the splash zone! He ended up getting drenched. I wish I could have gotten footage of that!

We had a ping pong tournament the following evening in the Meade’s basement.
