New Haircuts for the Boys!

Curtis really wanted to get a buzz cut. Every morning when he'd wake up, his hair was CRAZY! In order to tame it, we'd have to wet it with a spray bottle - which he very much disliked. I was against a buzz cut at first. I love his hair longer. But, it is his hair, so the final decision rested with him. Here is his hair before the big cut.

In process. . .

The end! He is still such a cutie.

And Dad was able to buzz Curtis's favorite design into his head. (The marker washed off right after.)

Graydon got a little cut too. Nothing as dramatic, but he did get a subtle mohawk.

And a lightning strike.

If ever there was a time in life for crazy hair, eight and six-years-old is it. The boys love their new cuts!

Finishing Up April

Andy bought a tent for an upcoming Cub Scout camping trip in the valley between our house and the church. The trip ended up getting rained out and this tent sat in our yard for about three weeks.

Bella likes to read in bed before falling asleep. Just like her mama.

The kids have taken a re-interest in the show, Chopped Jr. Here they are trying to create a dessert out of chocolate, pretzels, and fruit rope.

Bella banged up her finger pretty good at softball practice.

Mabel is very intrigued with Salty. They could probably be friends, but Mabel gets so excited and we're just not too sure if she would accidentally be too rough with Salty.

All wrapped up - just like when she was a baby. :)

Bella found the golden egg and was the winner of the golden bunny and $5!

Inside each egg was a piece of candy and slips of paper for either a prize or a cent/dollar amount. Each of the kids did pretty well on that egg hunt!

The next morning was Easter morning! It was an early rise for all of us since we attended the sunrise service at church.

Every year the church is decorated a little differently and it always looks beautiful.

After church, we came home, changed, and then hunted for Easter baskets. Graydon found his first! It was hiding under his bean bag chair.

Curtis was next. His was hiding behind some pillows in the living room.

Bella was way last! She wanted a challenge this year and we gave it to her. Her basket was hiding beneath her dirty clothes in her clothes hamper in the laundry room.

We enjoyed a beautiful Easter weekend. :)
