The next day was our school's first e-learning day. This was scheduled months ago and, being the day after Halloween, was pretty strategic. If we had gotten to go out trick-or-treating, it would have been all the more appreciated.
We let the kids sleep in an extra hour that morning, but then they got right to work on their assignments.

The boys were done before lunch time, but Bella was working long into the early evening.
That evening was the fall sports banquet at Bella's school. Here she is with some of her volleyball team.

She started the season having never played volleyball before and by the end of the season was a strong player. She got the award for "Most Improved".

The three award winners!

We got to go trick-or-treating the next day. Graydon went as Iron Man this year.

Curtis was a pastor. His hair was green because that day at school was Crazy Hair Day. Graydon had his hair in a bunch of pig tails all over, but I forgot to get a photo of it. With the addition of green hair to his costume, Curtis decided that he was a zombie pastor.

Time for trick-or-treating!!

We started at the trunk-or-treat at the Baptist church.

The town was packed with trick-or-treaters. Since so many people live out in the country, many different families converge into the downtown area, which makes it even more fun.

One house in particular goes all out every year. This year they turned their yard into a haunted cemetery. Normally I'm not a huge fan of scary things, but I appreciate all of the effort that they put into this display.

This guy startled Curtis at the very end!

When they buckets started to get heavy, we finished up at the Yellow Trail museum for crafts, snacks, and floats!

Andy and Bella were gone at the youth retreat, so the boys finished the night by watching the first Harry Potter movie while eating some popcorn and candy!
