Isabella is now 8 months old! This summer is just flying by! We also discovered that she is getting her first tooth (bottom right). We haven't been able to get a good look at it, but we can definitely feel it. For the most part, she is doing OK with the new tooth; although there have been some intense moments of fussiness. Today is going much better than yesterday, so hopefully we're in the clear until the next tooth decides to break through. Isabella also started babbling a lot more this week. She has gotten pretty talkative before, but it was usually just vowel sounds. Now she's starting to add the consonants. The most common sound we hear from her is "ba ba ba ba" but once in a while she will throw in a "ga" or "fa" or "da" or "ma", though those are still more rare at this point.
My sister, Kristen, turned 21 this past week. Here are all the sisters at her birthday party.
Isabella is trying hard to crawl. One of these days, she's going to get it!
Check out the mohawk! (Oops, I forgot to remove the red eye). Slowly, but surely, our baldie is growing some hair!
With this whole teething process, Isabella has an increased desire to chew on things. Unfortunately, some of the hard toys that she puts in her mouth end up bumping her tooth area, causing more pain. So, I gave her a big bagel piece to chew on. She gummed it until it was one soggy piece of bread, but she really liked it.
