Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
Andy has kept pretty busy this summer with the CPE program. We basically describe it to people as a chaplaincy internship. He spent 10 weeks this summer at the University of Illinois Medical Center - Chicago exploring his role as a chaplain while also learning more about himself. It's a pretty intense program, but so beneficial for Andy as a person and as a future pastor. In addition, Andy also spent much of his time this summer commuting. Each morning, he caught the 6:17am train to make it to downtown Chicago by 8:05am, only to catch a bus that brought him to the hospital by 8:30am. In the evenings, he generally walked in the door around 7pm. I know that he is grateful for that long commute to be coming to an end.

Good luck this year, your last year in seminary. You will make a great pastor at the end of the year.
