Bella had been saving up money to purchase an iPhone. When she had enough, she and Andy started searching for the right one. They found a really great deal on a 6S through Verizon. The only hiccup was that they needed to start a new line to get the price. Since she's only had her phone number for a couple of months, we opted to start the new line; which meant that she had to get a new phone number. But the little bit of hassle was worth the big savings that she got on the phone. Andy made the order and it arrived in the mail a couple of days later. He put on a name tag that said "iPhone store worker" and began the transaction with Bella. Curtis soon joined in with a name tag where he wrote "me to", and that inspired Graydon to write his own name tag that said, "me three".

The proud new owner of an iphone.

These two unintentionally dressed alike one day.

I pulled the kids out of school a little early on Friday so that we could drive up to Wisconsin for the weekend to enjoy a Brockhaus Family Christmas! We haven't been to this gathering in years and I really felt that I wanted to be a part of it this year. My grandma recently moved into a new house, so she hosted this year. It was just like old times! (Just with lots more kids.)

There's always a couple of nappers. :)

My cousin, Bridget, bought matching pajamas for all of the kids!

We took so many pics of this. Just getting everyone looking in the same general direction is a victory!

Quality time is my love language and spending time with family makes makes my heart feel so full. We had a great weekend.
The Monday after we got back, Graydon's class spent the day in the one-room school house behind our school. The kids arrived dressed for the occasion.

They ate a typical lunch for that time period, wrote with a quill and ink, played with wooden toys at recess, and experienced what school was like about a hundred years ago.

Curtis can't wait until it's his turn to go.
Pics like these are fun to find on my phone.
